ASKING FOR PRAYERS DURING THE UGANDAN LOCKDOWN FOR COVID-19
1. Uganda as a country needs your prayers! We are under a mandated lockdown which began March 30 at 8pm. This means that no personal vehicles are allowed. All transportation must be on foot unless an individual is granted a special sticker for their vehicle stating it is approved by the government to travel. Everyone must be off the roads and inside by 7pm as well. → What this means for Ugandans: Walking long distances (10-20 miles) to try to find work to feed your family. People living in remote villages are unable to get to places to purchase food or buy baby formula because they live so far away. Most people work during the day and at night purchase food and pay for that evening’s power - without a way to earn money, no food or power can be purchased.
