When completed the planned facility will care for 200 rescued children. It will include residential group homes, director/intern homes, an administrative building, latrines, a cafeteria, a meeting hall, a school, a library/computer lab, a vocational training facility, teacher housing, vehicles, and more. The primary school is currently providing badly needed education for about 400 village children.
By coming alongside the villagers to encourage through farming, education, and meeting physical needs, Melissa and Ivan strive to show Christ’s love while restoring their spirits to a sense of hope and future. They are estimating for their primary school training to include up to 2,000 children and a secondary school training to include another 2,000 children.
Construction
The first school building, measuring 250 x 27 feet with 8 classrooms was completed in 2018. In 2024 the new Nursery School opened to hundreds of young children.
Three of the children's living cottages were completed and were occupied in 2018. A fourth collage is under construction.
Cultivated fields include rice, corn, sweet potatoes, peppers, eggplant, mango trees, and jackfruit trees and so much more.
Ivan and Melissa's vision is coming to reality, but there is so much more needed. Please consider partnering in our continued effort.
