Claudia’s mother was suffering from mentally illness and constantly moving from street to street. A man took advantage of her in this vulnerable state, resulting in Claudia's conception. After giving birth, Claudia's mother continued living on the streets and in the bush. Concerned for the baby's health, local people contacted the police. This led to probation officer calling Sonrise Baby Home Director who rescued Claudia while the mother was admitted to a mental hospital. Claudia's father is unknown, but we are praying that her mother will recover and be reunited with Claudia someday. Currently, her mother remains in the hospital.

When Claudia reached school age, she transitioned to the Mirembe Cottage in early 2024. She is doing well there, receiving love, care, and an education grounded in the love of Christ.
