Nicolette, born July of 2013, faced severe malnutrition due to her teenage mother’s health issues and lack of support from other family. The Sonrise Baby Home took her in and provided life saving care for several years. Tragically, Nicolette's mother has since passed away, leaving her in need of support and care.
At the age of 3, Nicolette transitioned from the Sonrise Baby Home to the Sonrise Children’s Home. During the holidays, she has the opportunity to return to her village, reconnecting with her grandmother and other relatives.
Despite the adversities she has faced, Nicolette shines brightly as a diligent student in the Sonrise Community Christian Primary School. Her favorite color is red, and she delights in the simple pleasures of candy, chicken, and chapatti. She finds joy in skipping rope and expressing herself through drawing, often surrounded by her cherished friends. With aspirations of becoming a teacher, Nicolette's determination and resilience promise a bright future ahead.
Nicolette loves helping with household chores and enjoys listening to stories. Through the home visit connection program, she is building relationships with her aunt and grandparents, which brings her joy.
