Sonrise Children's Home

The home strives to share the love of Christ with our children as well as the people in the nearby villages. By raising these kids in a loving Christian environment, we hope to give them a foundation that will help them succeed in life and to one day be able to give back to God, their community, and the world.

The Sonrise Children's Home was started in 2010 as an offspring of the Sonrise Baby Home.  We are currently caring for 66 children ages 3 and up, each with a unique life story.  Click here to learn more about each of our children and how you can be a part of their lives. 

All meals are eaten together at home, with Bible stories and prayers every evening.  During the day, the children attend school, which is a rarity in Uganda! 

We provide school tutoring some afternoons with the older children, which includes English lessons.

Our Vision

We are praying God will provide 150 acres of land to support this rapidly growing ministry.  Our vision for the children's home is to have the infrastructure to care for up to 200 children.

Languages

The children speak Lugandan and we are teaching them English. The aunties speak Lugandan, Lusoga, and Swahili.  We are also teaching them English.
