Mercy Anzoya was born June 8, 2009.

My father abandoned my mother as soon as he realized she was pregnant. He did not want to deal with the burden of caring for a child. My mother worked at the steel rolling factory and was not making a good wage. Mom reached out to the Sonrise Baby Home for help. She was hired to work at the Baby Home, which saved my life. I was transferred to the Sonrise Children’s Home as I grew older.

I have completed the 7th grade (called P7 in Uganda) at the Sonrise Community Christian Primary School with very good grades. I was accepted into a secondary school in February 2024, but to continue, I need help to pay for all the costs associated with boarding school. All secondary schools, whether government or private, in Uganda are boarding schools with fees. Your support would enable me to continue my education. There are 3 semesters per year for a total of 6 years. Any amount helps.
