3 years ago my team and I partnered w Sonrise ministries staff and walked the perimeter of new property the Lord had blessed them with. Property that was once non existent, but a God-sized dream purposed in the hearts of Melissa and Ivan and countless other staff and volunteer members. We came together and worshipped and prayed around the perimeter of this property, believing that the Lord would provide a new buildings, new schools, a new church, and mostly new opportunities to use these facilities to bring Lost people to know the saving grace of our Lord and savior. 3 years ago it was an empty field filled with tall grass, swamps, snakes, and a crazy group of people who believed in something greater than ourselves. Who believed in something so big that some days seemed impossible.

I’m in tears as I see proof of the Lord’s faithfulness. 3 duplexes - providing a better living environment for the Sonrise children. A school and church to be utilized to teach and serve the community and only the beginning of more God sized miracle stories. I’m humbled to have been a tiny tiny part of such a huge thing.

I’m thankful for all of the Sonrise volunteers and directors. You truly are my heroes. Your prayers, sweat, tears, faithfulness, and selflessness has caused the kingdom to grow by thousands. I love you. Praying always and honored to even know you. Praise to the Lord. He is SO GOOD. Can’t wait to see how the Lord continues to write this story. For whatever it is that the Lord has purposed in your heart- pray and BELIEVE. It’s not too big for God. It probably won’t happen as quick as you want it to but we serve a big God. Trust. Allow Him to grow you through a process and don’t box Him in.  He’s got you.
